Creating neighborhoods and communities has been part of the fabric of Metzler Home Builders for over 30 years. Dan Metzler first took a risk to purchase land in Strasburg Township in the late 1980’s. He created several building lots which provided housing for the community as well as providing opportunities for his family business to grow.

Since then, Metzler Home Builders has been part of dozens of communities over the years, in many cases acquiring land and working through the approvals and subdivision process on our own. In other instances, we have worked hand in hand with independent developers to build on their approved lots and communities. In the last several decades we’ve been part of numerous development projects in Lancaster County.

When we approach a development opportunity, we take great pride in looking at the responsible use of the land and working with municipal officials and area residents to create projects that enhance our community.

Our Unique Approach to New Community Homes

One of the big differentiators of the homes we build in these communities is the transparency we provide and the number of options that are included in our initial product and pricing. While the process of building in one of our communities does not provide the limitless options of our custom home approach, we still believe in providing options and floor plans that are suitable for the neighborhood experience.
