New Homes Construction

Foundation

This phase will start with your initial groundbreaking, basement excavation and precast basement walls being installed. Framing of the first floor joists and subfloor will follow, along with pouring basement concrete and footers, and installing block for garage and porch areas.

Framing

You will see your house take shape right before your eyes during the framing process. After the walls and roof are set, installing windows and doors will follow. At the end of this phase, a roofing crew will install the finished roofing material to your home.

Mechanical/Insulation

Now that your new home is framed, it is time for the mechanical “rough-ins”, or initial install. Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC will be installed, and insulation will be completed. This part of the process may involve specific walk-throughs with our trade partners who are performing the work.

Exterior Finishes

Exterior finishes will generally begin as the mechanical and insulation phases are being completed. Your cladding material (siding, stone, brick, stucco, etc.) will be installed as well as any exterior trim work and details that may be included in your design.

Interior Finishes

The interior of your home begins to take shape as you enter this phase where the walls are covered. First drywall is hung and finished to be prepared for paint. Next, our carpenters put their craft to work as the interior trim stage begins. After the trim work is completed, painting will follow. Floor covering will be installed next, followed by cabinetry and countertops. Your home is now really starting to take shape and you can see the finish line in sight.

Finish Out

The finish out stage is when you will see many details come together to complete the picture of your brand-new custom home. Faucets and light fixtures will be installed. Carpet, closet shelving, bathroom mirrors, shower doors and bath accessories will complete your bedroom and bathroom spaces. The exterior of your home will have the paving, seeding and landscaping completed.

Completion

After finish out is complete, we schedule a final walk-through to do the official hand-off from our completed project to your new home to enjoy and make memories for many years to come.
